يُشغِّل تطبيق إرشاد ("التطبيق") الأستاذ الدكتور محمد الجوادي، عضو هيئة تدريس سابق في جامعة الملك سعود ومطوِّر مستقل يقيم في المملكة العربية السعودية. ويُوزَّع إرشاد عبر متجر تطبيقات Apple ومتجر Google Play، أمَّا موقعنا الإلكتروني irshad-app.sa فيستضيف سياسة الخصوصية هذه، وشروط الخدمة، ومعلومات عن التطبيق.
بموجب نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية في المملكة العربية السعودية، يجب على كلِّ جهةٍ تتلقَّى بيانات شخصية أن تُعيِّن "المتحكِّم في البيانات" — وهو الشخص المسؤول قانونيًا عن التعامل مع تلك البيانات. وفي حالة إرشاد، فإنَّ المتحكِّم في البيانات هو الأستاذ الدكتور محمد الجوادي (المُشَغِّل المذكور أعلاه). وتنحصر هذه المسؤولية في البيانات الشخصية المحدودة التي يتلقَّاها إرشاد فعليًا — أي الرسائل التي تختار إرسالها إلينا عبر واتساب أو Tally أو البريد الإلكتروني. أمَّا نشاطك داخل التطبيق فلا تنطبق عليه هذه العلاقة، لأنَّ تلك البيانات لا تصل إلينا أصلًا.
كيف بُني إرشاد
يعمل إرشاد على جهازك. لا يوجد خادم تابع لإرشاد يحفظ بيانات المستخدمين. وبتفصيلٍ أوضح:
لا نملك حسابات مستخدمين، ولا تسجيلات دخول، ولا كلمات مرور.
لا نحفظ إجاباتك في الاختبار، ولا معدلك، ولا الجامعات التي تستهدفها، ولا سجلَّ المقارنات، ولا ملفات الـ PDF التي تنشئها — إلَّا في جهازك.
لا نربط نشاطك بهويتك، ولا نبيع أيَّ شيءٍ يخصُّك لأحد. ومع ذلك، نُحصي أحداثًا مجهولة الهوية (مثل: كم مرَّةً فُتحت صفحة جامعةٍ ما) لنشارك إحصاءات إجمالية مع الجامعات الشريكة. وهذه الأعداد لا يمكن إرجاعها إلى أيِّ مستخدم بعينه، لأنَّنا لا نخزِّن أيَّ مُعرِّفات للمستخدمين.
هذا اختيارٌ معماريٌّ، لا مجرَّد شعارٍ تسويقي. التطبيق غير قادرٍ تقنيًا على ربط نشاطك بهويتك، ببساطة لأنَّنا لا نجمع المُعرِّفات ولا نخزِّنها من الأساس.

تعيش المعلومات التالية في الذاكرة المحلية لجهازك فحسب، ولا يصلنا منها شيء:

إذا حذفتَ التطبيق، تُحذف هذه المعلومات معه. وإذا أزلتَ بيانات التطبيق من إعدادات جهازك، أُزيلت كذلك. لا توجد لدينا نسخة منها في أيِّ مكان.
عن الموقع تحديدًا
حين تضغط "الجامعات القريبة مني" أو ما يشابهها، يطلب التطبيق من جهازك إحداثياتك الجغرافية الحالية. تُستخدم هذه الإحداثيات داخل التطبيق لحساب المسافة بينك وبين كل جامعة (الإحداثيات الخاصَّة بالجامعات مخزَّنة سلفًا ضمن ملفِّ بيانات التطبيق). لا تُرسَل إحداثياتك إلى أيِّ خادم، ولا تُحفظ بشكلٍ دائم — بل يُعاد حسابها في كلِّ مرَّة تستخدم فيها هذه الميزة.
سيُظهر لك جهازك طلب صلاحية الموقع في المرَّة الأولى. يمكنك الرفض، وسيواصل التطبيق العمل دون مشكلة. ويمكنك سحب الصلاحية لاحقًا من إعدادات الجهاز.
ثمَّة أمرٌ متعلِّقٌ ولكنَّه منفصل: حين تضغط "الاتجاهات" على بطاقة جامعةٍ، يفتح التطبيق تطبيق Google Maps على جهازك مع تجهيز عنوان الجامعة سلفًا. عند تلك اللحظة، تكون قد غادرتَ إرشاد ودخلتَ Google Maps. وما تفعله Google ببياناتك أثناء وجودك داخل تطبيقها يخضع لسياسة الخصوصية الخاصَّة بـ Google لا بسياستنا.
الخدمات الخارجية التي نستخدمها
رغم أنَّ إرشاد لا يملك خادمًا خاصًّا به، فإنَّ التطبيق والموقع يعتمدان على عددٍ قليلٍ من الخدمات الخارجية. سنذكرها جميعًا هنا، وأكثرها مجرَّد بنيةٍ تحتية (نطاقات واستضافة)، وبعضها يعالج معلوماتٍ ترسلها أنتَ بإرادتك (رسائل، اشتراك في النشرة).
البنية التحتية (ما يُشَغِّل التطبيق)
GitHub Pages — تشغِّلها Microsoft Corporation (الولايات المتحدة)
تستضيف خدمة GitHub Pages الملفات الثابتة لموقع irshad-app.sa، وتُقدِّم ملفات بيانات التطبيق (معلومات الجامعات وغيرها). حين يجلب جهازك أيَّ بيانات، تتلقَّى GitHub الطلب وتعرف عنوان IP الخاص باتصالك. لا تتلقَّى GitHub اسمك، ولا ما تكتبه داخل التطبيق، ولا أيَّ شيءٍ سواه. هذا سلوكٌ معتادٌ لشبكات توزيع المحتوى (CDN).
نقلٌ عبر الحدود: نعم (من السعودية إلى الولايات المتحدة). ضروريٌّ لإيصال الخدمة.
Cloudflare — Cloudflare, Inc. (الولايات المتحدة، مع خوادم طرفيَّة حول العالم)
تتولَّى Cloudflare إدارة استعلامات DNS للنطاق irshad-app.sa، وتُحوِّل البريد المُرسَل إلى عناويننا @irshad-app.sa إلى صندوقنا الخاص. حين يحاول جهازك الوصول إلى نطاقنا، تُسجِّل Cloudflare الاستعلام (هكذا يعمل DNS أصلًا). لا ترى Cloudflare نشاطك داخل التطبيق.
نقلٌ عبر الحدود: نعم (من السعودية إلى الولايات المتحدة وحول العالم). ضروريٌّ لتوجيه الاتصال والبريد.
التحليلات
PostHog — PostHog Inc.، تُقدَّم من الاتحاد الأوروبي
حين نجمع أحداث استخدامٍ مجهولة الهوية (مثل: "فُتحت صفحة جامعة"، أو "نُسخ كود خصم")، نُرسلها إلى PostHog. وقد ضبطنا PostHog على النحو التالي:
يُتجاهَل عنوان IP عند الاستلام
لا تُرسَل أيَّة مُعرِّفات للمستخدمين
لا يُسجَّل أيُّ نشاطٍ لجلسة المستخدم
لا يُلتقَط أيُّ حدثٍ تلقائيًا؛ نُرسل فقط الأحداث المحدَّدة المذكورة في وثائقنا العامَّة
التحليلات معطَّلة افتراضيًا. وفي أوَّل مرَّةٍ تفتح فيها التطبيق، نسألك إن كنتَ توافق على تفعيلها. ويمكنك تغيير اختيارك لاحقًا من إعدادات التطبيق.

الخدمات التي تعالج الرسائل التي ترسلها إلينا
واتساب — تُشغِّله Meta Platforms, Inc. (الولايات المتحدة)
حين تضغط زرَّ واتساب لمراسلتنا، فإنَّك تُرسل رسالةً عبر واتساب. تذهب الرسالة — مع رقم هاتفك واسمك وصورة ملفِّك الشخصي في واتساب — إلى Meta وإلى صندوق واتساب للأعمال الخاصِّ بنا. نحن نرى ما ترسله، وMeta ترى ما ترسله لأنَّها تمتلك واتساب. إن لم تكن ترغب في ذلك، فلا تراسلنا عبر واتساب؛ استخدم النموذج أو البريد الإلكتروني بدلًا منه.

Tally — تُشغِّلها شركة Tally Forms BV (هولندا، الاتحاد الأوروبي)
تستضيف Tally نموذج الملاحظات الخاصَّ بنا. كلُّ ما تكتبه في النموذج — بما في ذلك أيُّ رابطٍ أو تفاصيل تواصل تختار إضافتها — يصل إلى Tally وإلينا.

البريد الإلكتروني المباشر (feedback@، partnerships@، hello@ على irshad-app.sa)
البريد الذي ترسله إلى عناويننا @irshad-app.sa يُوجَّه عبر خدمة تحويل البريد في Cloudflare إلى صندوقٍ خاصٍّ نُديره. نحن نرى المحتوى، أمَّا Cloudflare فترى ترويسات التوجيه.
إذا أضفنا نشرةً بريديةً في تحديث قادم، فستحفظ Buttondown عناوين البريد الإلكتروني للمشتركين. وسيكون الاشتراك بموافقةٍ صريحة، مع خطوة تأكيد. وسنشترط تأكيد أنَّ المشترك تجاوز الثامنة عشرة أو لديه إذنٌ من وليِّ أمره. حتى تاريخ هذه السياسة، النشرة لم تُفعَّل بعد.

وجهاتٌ خارجيةٌ نُحيل إليها دون أن نُرسل لها بياناتك
Google Maps
حين تضغط "الاتجاهات"، يفتح التطبيق Google Maps مع تجهيز الوجهة. نحن لا نرسل معلوماتك إلى Google؛ بل أنتَ تختار استخدام Google Maps. وتنطبق سياسة الخصوصية الخاصَّة بـ Google من تلك اللحظة.
مواقع الجامعات
الروابط التي تنتقل من إرشاد إلى صفحات قبول الجامعات تفتح في متصفِّحك. لا نتتبَّع الروابط التي تضغط عليها داخل تلك المواقع.
ما لا نفعله
كي لا يبقى أيُّ غموض، نذكر هنا أمورًا قد يفترض النَّاس أنَّ تطبيقًا كإرشاد قد يفعلها، ونؤكِّد لك أنَّنا لا نفعلها:
لا نملك قاعدة بياناتٍ بمستخدمينا.
لا نبيع بياناتك. لا توجد بياناتٌ لنبيعها أصلًا.
لا نشارك أيَّ بياناتٍ شخصية مع الجامعات. حين نتعاون مع جامعةٍ شريكة، نشاركها إحصاءاتٍ إجماليةً ومجهولة الهوية فقط (مثل: "زار صفحتكم في شهر مارس كذا مستخدم"). لا شيء يكشف هويَّة أيِّ مستخدمٍ بعينه.
لا نستخدم الإعلانات السلوكية، ولا إعادة الاستهداف، ولا شبكات الإعلانات.
لا نحفظ مُعرِّفات أجهزة الإشعارات. التطبيق لا يرسل إشعارات.
لا نستخدم Firebase Analytics، ولا Google Analytics، ولا Mixpanel، ولا Sentry، ولا Amplitude، ولا Crashlytics، ولا أيَّ أداة تحليلٍ أو رصد أعطالٍ غير PostHog.
لا نضع ملفَّات تتبُّع (Cookies) على موقع irshad-app.sa.
لا نطلب رقم هويَّتك الوطنية، ولا رقم هاتفك، ولا تواصل ولي أمرك، ولا أيَّ مستندٍ تعريفيٍّ آخر.
حقوقك بموجب نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية
يمنحك نظام حماية البيانات الشخصية في المملكة العربية السعودية حقوقًا محدَّدةً فيما يخصُّ بياناتك. وفيما يتعلَّق بإرشاد تحديدًا:
الحقُّ في معرفة ما لدينا عنك. يمكنك أن تسألنا عن البيانات الشخصية التي نحفظها عنك. والإجابة الصادقة هي "لا شيء، ما لم تكن قد راسلتنا" — وفي تلك الحالة، البيانات التي لدينا هي الرسالة نفسها.
الحقُّ في الحذف. إذا كنتَ قد راسلتنا عبر واتساب أو Tally أو البريد الإلكتروني، يمكنك أن تطلب حذف تلك الرسالة. وسنحذفها من سجلَّاتنا.
الحقُّ في التصحيح. إذا كان ما لدينا عنك غير صحيح، فسنُصحِّحه.
الحقُّ في الشكوى. إن رأيتَ أنَّنا تعاملنا مع بياناتك بشكلٍ سيِّئ، يمكنك التواصل مع الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا)، وهي الجهة المنظِّمة للنظام.
لممارسة أيٍّ من هذه الحقوق، تواصل معنا عبر أيٍّ من القنوات المذكورة في صدر هذا المستند. سنردُّ خلال ٣٠ يومًا.
فترات الاحتفاظ بالبيانات
الرسائل التي ترسلها لنا (واتساب، Tally، بريدٌ إلكتروني): تُحفظ مدَّةً أقصاها ٩٠ يومًا، ثمَّ تُحذف.
أحداث التحليلات المجهولة الهوية (في حال موافقتك): تُحفظ بشكلٍ إجماليٍّ فقط؛ يُحذف كلُّ حدثٍ فردي بعد ٣٠ يومًا.
سجلَّات الخوادم لدى GitHub Pages وCloudflare: وفق سياسات الاحتفاظ المعتادة لدى تلك الجهات (عادةً من ٣٠ إلى ٩٠ يومًا).
للمستخدمين دون سنِّ الثامنة عشرة
نتوقَّع أنَّ معظم مستخدمي إرشاد طلَّابٌ سعوديون في المرحلة الثانوية، تتراوح أعمارهم بين الخامسة عشرة والثامنة عشرة. ونظام حماية البيانات الشخصية يولي بيانات القاصرين عنايةً خاصَّة، ونحن كذلك.
لا نجمع بياناتٍ شخصيةً من أحد، بمن فيهم القاصرون.
النشرة البريدية (حين تُفعَّل) ستشترط تأكيدًا صريحًا بأنَّك تجاوزتَ سنَّ الثامنة عشرة أو لديك إذنٌ من ولي أمرك.
نشجِّعك على قراءة هذه السياسة بصحبة أحد والديك أو وليِّ أمرك، وعلى استشارته قبل إرسال أيِّ رسالةٍ إلينا تتضمَّن معلوماتٍ تعريفيةً عنك.
إذا كنتَ والدًا أو وليَّ أمرٍ وتريد منَّا حذف رسالةٍ أرسلها طفلك، تواصل معنا، وسنحذفها خلال ٣٠ يومًا.
التحديثات على هذه السياسة
حين نُجري تعديلًا جوهريًا على هذه السياسة، نُحدِّث تاريخ "آخر تحديث" في صدر الصفحة، ونعلن عن التغيير في قسم "شفافية البيانات / Data Transparency" داخل التطبيق. أمَّا التعديلات الشكلية فلا تستوجب إعلانًا.

Who we are
Irshad ("the app") is operated by Professor Mohammad Aljawadi, a former faculty member at King Saud University and an individual developer based in Saudi Arabia. Irshad is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Our website at irshad-app.sa hosts this privacy policy, our terms of service, and information about the app.
Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), every entity that receives personal data must name a Data Controller — the person legally responsible for handling that data. For Irshad, the Data Controller is Professor Mohammad Aljawadi (the operator named above). This responsibility applies only to the limited personal data Irshad actually receives — namely, the messages you choose to send us via WhatsApp, Tally, or email. For your activity inside the app, there is no data controller relationship, because that data never reaches us.
How Irshad is built
Irshad runs on your device. There is no Irshad server that stores user data. Specifically:
We don't have user accounts, logins, or passwords.
We don't store your quiz answers, GPA, target universities, comparison history, or PDF cheat sheets anywhere except on your device.
We don't link your activity to your identity, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone. We do count anonymous events (e.g., how many times any university's profile was opened) so we can share aggregate statistics with our university partners. These counts cannot be linked back to individual users because we don't store user identifiers.
This is an architectural choice, not a marketing claim. The app is technically incapable of linking your activity to who you are, because we never collect or store identifiers in the first place.
What stays on your device
The following information lives only in your phone's local storage and never reaches us:

If you delete the app, all of this is deleted with it. If you clear app data in your phone's settings, all of this is cleared. We never have a copy.
About location specifically
When you tap "universities near me" or a similar feature, the app asks your phone for your current GPS coordinates. The coordinates are used inside the app to compute the distance between you and each university (whose coordinates are already in the app's data file). The coordinates are not transmitted to any server. They are not stored permanently — they're recomputed each time you use the feature.
Your phone will show you a permission prompt the first time. You can deny it; the rest of the app works fine without location. You can revoke the permission later in your phone's settings.
There is one related but separate thing: when you tap "directions" on a university card, the app opens the Google Maps app on your phone with the university's address preloaded. At that point, you have left Irshad and are using Google Maps. What Google does with your location while you're in Google Maps is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
Third-party services we use
Even though Irshad has no backend of its own, the app and website depend on a small number of third-party services. We list them all here. Most are infrastructure (DNS, hosting); a few process information you intentionally send (feedback messages, newsletter sign-up).
Infrastructure (what makes the app work)
GitHub Pages — operated by Microsoft Corporation (USA)
GitHub Pages hosts the static files of irshad-app.sa and serves the app's data files (university information, etc.). When your phone fetches data, GitHub Pages receives the request and the IP address of your internet connection. GitHub does not receive your name, your input, or anything else. This is standard CDN behavior.
Cross-border transfer: Yes (Saudi Arabia → United States). Necessary to deliver the service.
Cloudflare — Cloudflare, Inc. (USA, with global edge servers)
Cloudflare handles DNS lookups for irshad-app.sa and forwards email sent to our @irshad-app.sa addresses to our private inbox. When your phone resolves our domain, Cloudflare logs the lookup (this is how DNS works). Cloudflare does not see your in-app activity.
Cross-border transfer: Yes (Saudi Arabia → United States / global). Necessary to route traffic and email.
Analytics
PostHog — PostHog Inc., served from the European Union
If we collect anonymous usage events (for example: "someone opened a university profile," "someone copied a discount code"), we send them to PostHog. PostHog is configured so that:
IP addresses are discarded at intake
No user identifiers are sent
No session recording is performed
No automatic event capture is performed; we send only the specific events listed in our public documentation
Analytics is off by default. The first time you open the app, we ask you whether to opt in. You can change your choice later in the app's settings.
Cross-border transfer: Yes (Saudi Arabia → European Union). Used solely for aggregate usage understanding.
Services that process messages you send us
WhatsApp — operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA)
When you click the WhatsApp button to message us, you are sending a message through WhatsApp. The message — and your WhatsApp phone number, name, and profile photo — go to Meta and to our WhatsApp Business inbox. We see what you send. Meta sees what you send because it owns WhatsApp. If you don't want this, don't message us on WhatsApp; use the feedback form or email instead.
Cross-border transfer: Yes (Saudi Arabia → United States). User-initiated.
Tally — operated by Tally Forms BV (the Netherlands, European Union)
Tally hosts our feedback form. Whatever you type into the form — including any optional URL or contact detail you choose to include — is sent to Tally and to us.

Email you send to our @irshad-app.sa addresses is routed through Cloudflare's email forwarding to a private mailbox we control. We see the content; Cloudflare sees the routing headers.
Services not yet active
Buttondown — operated by Buttondown LLC (USA)
If we add an email newsletter in a future update, Buttondown will store the email addresses of subscribers. Subscription will be explicit opt-in, with a confirmation step. We will require confirmation that you are 18+ or have a guardian's permission. As of the date above, the newsletter is not yet active.
Cross-border transfer: Yes (Saudi Arabia → United States). Only if you opt in.
External destinations we link to but do not send your data to
Google Maps
When you tap "directions," the app opens Google Maps with a destination preloaded. We do not send your information to Google; you are choosing to use Google Maps. Google's privacy policy applies once you're there.
University websites
Links from Irshad to individual university admission pages open in your browser. We don't track which links you click on those sites.
What we do NOT do
To be unambiguous, here are things people sometimes assume an app might do, that Irshad does not:
We do not have a database of users.
We do not sell your data. There is no data to sell.
We do not share personal data with universities. When working with university partners, we share aggregate, anonymous statistics only (e.g., "X people viewed your profile in March"). Nothing identifies individual users.
We do not use behavioral advertising, retargeting, or ad networks.
We do not store push notification device tokens. The app does not send push notifications.
We do not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry, Amplitude, Crashlytics, or any analytics or crash-reporting SDK other than PostHog.
We do not set tracking cookies on irshad-app.sa.
We do not ask for your national ID, your phone number, your guardian's contact, or any other identifying document.
Your rights under PDPL
The Saudi Personal Data Protection Law gives you certain rights over personal data that pertains to you. For Irshad specifically:
Right to know what we have about you. You can ask us what personal data we hold about you. The honest answer is "nothing, unless you've messaged us" — in which case the data we have is the message itself.
Right to deletion. If you've messaged us via WhatsApp, Tally, or email, you can ask us to delete that message. We will delete it from our records.
Right to correction. If something we hold about you is wrong, we'll correct it.
Right to complain. If you believe we've handled your data badly, you can contact the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which administers PDPL.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using any of the methods at the top of this document. We will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Messages you send us (WhatsApp, Tally, email): kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.
Anonymous analytics events (if you opted in): retained in aggregate; individual events deleted after 30 days.
Server logs at GitHub Pages and Cloudflare: per those providers' standard retention (typically 30–90 days).
For users under 18
We expect most Irshad users are Saudi high school students between 15 and 18 years old. PDPL treats minors' data with extra care, and so do we.
We do not collect personal data from anyone, including minors.
The newsletter (when active) will require explicit confirmation that you are 18+ or have a guardian's permission.
We encourage you to read this policy with a parent or guardian, and to ask them before sending us any message that includes identifying information about yourself.
If you are a parent or guardian and want us to delete a message your child sent us, contact us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and announce the change in the app's "Data Transparency / شفافية البيانات" section. Cosmetic edits won't trigger an announcement.
